The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani), in a strategic expansion of its maritime network, has inaugurated the MSC GULF SHUTTLE service, establishing a dedicated link between King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and Khalifa Bin Salman Port in Bahrain. This initiative represents a significant augmentation to regional shipping capacity, offering a dedicated service with an initial capacity of 3,000 standard containers, thereby enhancing direct connectivity between the Kingdom and Bahrain.

The service’s introduction follows the Authority’s recent addition of five new maritime services, designed to mitigate disruptions emanating from the Strait of Hormuz.
