Gimlet Labs, a San Francisco-based AI inference software developer, has concluded a $80 million Series A funding round, led by Menlo Ventures and supplemented by Factory, Eclipse, Prosperity7, and Triatomic. This infusion elevates the company’s total capital to $92 million, positioning it to scale its proprietary “multi-silicon inference cloud” technology. The platform, designed to optimize AI workloads across diverse hardware architectures, addresses critical limitations in current homogeneous data centers by dynamically allocating workloads to the most efficient processors.

Performance Breakthrough and Strategic Partnerships

Gimlet Labs asserts its technology delivers AI inference speeds three to ten times faster than conventional data centers, achieving equivalent performance at the same power and cost for large-scale frontier models. This breakthrough stems from its research integrating automated GPU kernel generation, workload orchestration, and heterogeneous execution across varied systems. The company’s approach mitigates the “critical flaw” exposed by surging agentic workloads—namely, the stagnation in latency and power efficiency from homogeneous hardware. With “eight-figure revenues” and a tripled customer base since exiting stealth, Gimlet counts one of the top three frontier labs and one of the top three hyperscalers among its clients, alongside collaborations with AMD, ARM, Cerebras, d-Matrix, Intel, and Nvidia.
